July 2, 1998: An early morning and a long day...

Morning came awfully early! Wake-up was at 5:00 AM so most of us were running on 3 to 3.5 hours of sleep. We were on the buses at 5:45 AM and over the the Best Western Parker House Motel for our buffet breakfast from 5:55 to 6:55. The breakfast was very efficient with plenty of food ready at 5:55 AM.

The bus was quiet on the way to Canon City for our whitewater rafting as many tried to catch up on the missed sleep. We arrived at the River Runners Rafting in Canon City at 8:15 AM.

We made it off the river at 11:15 AM. After getting everyone changed and back to the buses, we headed for lunch down the road at Burger King arriving at 1:00 PM and departing at 2:25 PM

The next stop was the Air Force Academy

The final stop of the day was the Flying W Ranch.

We arrived back at the Colorado Springs National Guard Armory at about 10:30 -- and all tried to get some sleep after a couple of long days
