Regularly Scheduled Sessions
This course covers the basic elements of youth protection and the operation of a Scouting program that provides a safe environment for its youth members. The various forms of child abuse, how to recognize them and how to deal with the properly are discussed. A discussion of how to report incidents and your responsibilities as a leader are included.

This session is part of Scoutmaster Fundamentals and were are invited to participate.

This is an introductory course designed to teach basic backpacking to adults with little or no backpacking experience. The course will give an adult Scouter instruction in such areas as: clothing, equipment, trail safety, trip planning, and other basic information that will help leaders to begin backpacking treks with their units. The course is held in four sessions and will include a backpacking overnight experience. The trail selected is of moderate difficulty.

Locations: Sept 27, Oct 11, and Oct 20 - 21 at Quail Hill Scout Reservation. The Nov 3- 4 backpacking trip location to be announced.
